As we gather in Miami to celebrate Billboard Latin Music Week, our thoughts are with our friends and colleagues where the The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has declared a public health emergency in the wake of Hurricane Fiona. Billboard is committed to contributing to both the immediate and long-term disaster relief efforts on the island and will be supporting the American Red Cross with a donation using proceeds from Billboard Latin Music Week. Hundreds of Red Cross disaster workers, many with no power or water themselves, are working to help the people days after Hurricane Fiona ravaged their homes.

Multiple areas of the island can’t be accessed due to damaged roads and bridges and first responders are going in by foot to provide necessities such as food, water and medicine. Almost a million customers still have no power and hundreds of thousands are without water service as an extreme heat warning is in force. Volunteers are assessing damage, delivering emergency resources, and providing health and mental health services virtually until more of the island is accessible.

We invite our brand partners, artists, executives, attendees, and readers to join us in donating to support the essential work the Red Cross is doing on the ground.

Billboard is owned and operated by Penske Media Corporation and has partnered with PMC’s 2% Foundation to amplify the contributions of our community. PMC will match donations up to $50,000 USD.
