Hans Schafer
Since joining Live Nation in 2017, Hans Schafer, Senior Vice President of Global Touring, has been at the forefront of the growing demand for live Latin music. He has played a pivotal role in establishing Live Nation as the leader in live Latin talent, bringing attention to the impact and importance of Latin music across the industry and worldwide.
Schafer has been instrumental in expanding the types and sizes of arenas Latin artists play in, as demonstrated by many recent projects such as Karol G's first record-breaking first stadium world tour, including her successful European leg. Over the past year, Schafer has promoted some of the most impactful Latin tours worldwide. Most recently, he is overseeing Karol G’s Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour. He also booked Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour, which has sold more than 3.1 million tickets across 55 stadiums in 22+ countries, including debut stadium shows in Australia that drew a record-setting 90,000 fans across two nights. In addition, he led Rauw Alejandro’s 2025 global tour, spanning 74 shows across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Europe, and Latin America, grossing over $100 million.
Across all levels of touring, Schafer continues to drive artist growth. He oversaw Feid’s sold-out North American intimate underplay run, while Kali Uchis’ global touring footprint expanded—from a 320k+ ticket North American arena run grossing more than $30 million to a 60k ticket Latin American run grossing $4.4 million. Additionally, just this year, Schafer was key in Fuerza Regida’s first-ever stadium tour, This Is Our Dream.
Schafer's expansive portfolio of high-demand tours also includes Young Miko, Omar Courtz, Marco Antonio Solis, Justice & Kaytranada among many others.
Live Nation Latin Touring, led by Schafer, shows no signs of slowing down as it continues to open and sell out multiple shows in USA, Canada, LATAM, and, most recently, Europe. Schafer's leadership in ushering in Latin musical talent that appeals to audiences of all generations is matched by his ability to build a strong team within Live Nation to support the growing list of record-setting events. That team includes representation of Latinos from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Schafer's understanding of the value of diversity has allowed him to make key hires across the US and Canada and integrate more women across all levels that he oversees at the company.
