Sigal Ratner-Arias
Sigal Ratner-Arias, Deputy Editor of Billboard Español, played a pivotal role in the publication’s establishment and swift rise as the go-to music news source in Spanish in the U.S., Mexico, and beyond. Born in Venezuela and based in New York, she joined Billboard in the summer of 2022 after 20+ years of experience at the Associated Press, where she served as Spanish Entertainment Editor, covering major events including the Cannes Film Festival, the Oscars and the Latin Grammy Awards, while helping put many Latin artists on the global map. She has interviewed Latin music’s biggest stars, and her work has appeared in hundreds of publications around the globe. Honored among LAMC and Amazon Music’s Wonder Women in Music of 2023, Sigal has been nominated for a GLAAD Award and an L.A. Press Club National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Award. Sigal is also the author of '64: Una Novela,' published by Penguin Random House.
