Candice Stephenson
Candice Stephenson is a music and entertainment executive. She founded PoshRebel Entertainment, a music licensing and management company that handles sync and samples for clients, including Daddy Yankee and Hartbeat Productions. Her expertise has proven instrumental for celebrities and corporations alike in music business consulting, sample clearances, television and new media licensing, podcast and content business affairs, and deal strategy and brand partnerships for celebrity talent and influencers.
Candice’s career began in reality television while managing clearances for VH1’s Love & Hip Hop franchise. She went on to manage licensing for a suite of ABC Network’s most legendary shows: Good Morning America, Nightline, World News Tonight, and 20/20.
Stephenson then joined Spotify as Counsel, where she spent 4 years. Candice’s highlights at Spotify include being the Lead attorney on Paul McCartney - Under the Staircase (live at Abbey Road) and the launch of the platform’s first original Podcasts, as well as negotiating original content deals such as Spotify Sessions, to name a few. She also played a lead counsel role for the launch of Spotify’s original content programming and some of its main playlists: Rap Caviar, Viva Latino, and Hot Country, among others.
After exiting Spotify, Candice turned her attention to an area of the entertainment industry that was seeing a significant shift with the emergence of digital media platforms; she found her niche in Music Clearance, New Media, and Influencer partnerships, representing projects like Daddy Yankee’s 20/20 live visual album, and clearing samples on several songs for on his multi-platinum album, Legendaddy. PoshRebel Entertainment has become one of Latin music’s go-to sample clearance providers and has cleared samples for Latin superstars Natti Natasha, Anuel AA, Daddy Yankee, Lunay, Alex Rose, Dimelo Flow, Rauw Alejandro, and Justin Quiles. Candice occasionally consults for various companies in the role of Business Affairs Executive, including William Morris Endeavor, for whom she has negotiated and closed deals valuing over $40M dollars, and Interpublic Group, for whom she has negotiated and closed Talent brand deals for global brands in IPG’s $47B portfolio, including BMW, T.E.D, Sony Pictures, Johnson and Johnson, Call of Duty, GEICO and American Express, to name a few. In 2024 She founded Belent Law, PLLC, which provided fractional in-house counsel services for A-list production companies and legal services for celebrities and content creators.
