Alberto Arenal
Alberto Arenal holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Management, a MSc in
Telecommunications Engineering and a MSc in City Sciences from the
Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and a Business Administration degree
from the National Distance Learning University (UNED). His main research
interests include the analysis of the entrepreneurial ecosystems and how policy
influence on their development; and the analysis of music industry from a techno-
economic perspective, as part of research project Innovacom.
During 2009-2016, he held several positions in private sector in the field of Digital
Economy (strategy, public affairs, regulatory analysis). Currently, he combines
research and lecturing at UPM and UNED with the his involvement in other
entrepreneurial projects and his role in AIE as part of StreamRights, AIE’s service
specializing in the international collection of intellectual property rights
(particularly, rights of music performers and/or neighboring rights).
